Which formats can be converted
Your browser can read MP3, WAV, M4A and FLAC. Writing is another matter: the only format a browser can produce on its own, without extra software, is lossless WAV. That is why the picker shows only what we can genuinely deliver.
A short honest list beats a long one full of buttons that would fail. When an additional encoder is added, it will appear in the picker automatically.
Why WAV is a good output
WAV is lossless: exactly what was in the decoded file, with no recompression. It is what studios, distributors and every editor expect. Bigger files, nothing lost.
Frequently asked questions
Why can't I export MP3 yet?
Browsers ship no MP3 encoder. Adding one means bundling an extra component into the site; the tool is already built for it and will show the option the moment it is available.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Conversion happens entirely on your device.
What is the size limit?
50 MB.
Does converting to WAV lose quality?
No. WAV is lossless.
